How to Upgrade

Upgrading to Build Manager 9.1 is a straightforward process. Here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Sign the New Templates: Ensure you sign the new templates with an ID appropriate for your environment. You may want to compare current signatures on your production instances of Build Manager to verify.

  2. Perform a Design Refresh/Replace: Apply a design refresh or replace against your existing instance of Build Manager. Do the same for the Template Registry and Approvals workflow application, if applicable. Be sure to remove old templates if they exist as you don’t want the design rolling back during overnight Domino task executions.

  3. Update CIAO! (if applicable): If you are also a CIAO! customer, you will need the latest version of the tool installed to work with Build Manager 9.1 on the HCL Notes 64-bit clients.  Be sure to upgrade CIAO! before your Build Manager instances. You can download the latest version here.

  4. Upgrade License Keys (if applicable): If you are upgrading from older versions of Build Manager, such as version 8.01, you will need to upgrade your keys. Please reach out to your account manager prior to upgrading to ensure you have the appropriate serial numbers and keys prior to applying any updates.  If you are upgrading from a newer version of Build Manager, you will not need new keys.
