Announcing: Teamstudio Developer Tools 64-bit Beta

By Larry Barker

These are exciting times in the Domino world as HCL’s seemingly unending march of new feature releases continues. This time around, we have the HCL Domino 12.0.2 “Danube” release, in which HCL has announced a number of updates and improvements. In particular, a few that affect us over here at Teamstudio! The availability of new 64-bit Notes/Designer & Admin clients. As you might expect, we have already started to receive inquiries about the compatibility of our developer tools.

Our plan?  We are currently working on a beta release of our developer tool suite for the new 64-bit HCL Notes clients.   When will this be available?  We are hoping to release these early in the new year for interested customers who would like to test them out working on their daily development activities. And you never know, depending on how busy our Teamstudio development elves are over the holidays, this could happen earlier!

If you have no idea what we are talking about, check out the HCL Domino 12.0.2 release webinar, they have also now posted it on their YouTube channel.

Which Teamstudio tools will be available in 64-bit format?

Initially, we are planning to provide 64-bit versions of our core developer tools, which means all of the following:

If you are a user of one of the above products, and would like to participate in the beta test program, we are very interested in your feedback.

It is important to note that if you are a current user of Teamstudio Profiler, there are no current plans for 64-bit support for this product.  In addition, if you are currently a user of Teamstudio Build Manager in combination with CIAO!, you should not upgrade any HCL Notes clients that are being used as promotion workstations to 64-bit Notes version 12.0.2.  Build Manager is not part of the initial 64-bit client support beta program.

How can I participate in the beta?

If you are interested in trying out the 64-bit beta release, please get in touch with our team by sending an email to beta@teamstudio.com or using our online request form. Our team will then be back in touch with a link to the download along with further instructions once the release becomes available.

What if I have additional questions or feedback?

If you have any questions before the beta becomes available, you may send them to beta@teamstudio.com or by submitting a support ticket to techsupport@teamstudio.com.  We will be happy to assist with any beta-related inquiries.

Additional details will be provided at the time of release.
